How do I withdraw funds? How long does it take?
You can request a partial or full withdrawal at any time, free of charge. Because your portfolio holds ASX-listed ETFs, the securities must first be sold before cash can be transferred to your wallet. Sales are subject to the exchange’s T+2 settlement timeline, and the entire process typically takes 4 to 5 business days. Processing times may vary slightly depending on market conditions and bank operations.
To track your withdrawal, open the relevant portfolio in the app and tap “Transactions”. If a “Cancel Request” button is visible, you can still cancel. Once the status shows “Processing”, the withdrawal can no longer be cancelled.
What’s the difference between a partial and full withdrawal?
Partial withdrawal. You may withdraw up to 90% of your current portfolio value for Managed Investments, or up to 98% for Cash+. To withdraw more than this, submit a full withdrawal instead.
Full withdrawal. A full withdrawal is an instruction to fully liquidate and close the portfolio. All holdings are sold and proceeds are returned to your Selfwealth wallet.
Will I receive the exact amount shown on my dashboard?
The final amount may differ from the value displayed when you submit the full withdrawal request, due to standard factors in the investment process:
- Market movements. Your payout reflects prevailing market prices at the time of sale, not the value at submission. A full breakdown is available in your withdrawal records.
- Dividends. If a dividend has been declared but not yet received, we will track it and include it in your payout. Any difference once the actual dividend is received will be credited to your wallet.
- Accrued fees. Any accrued but unpaid management fees are deducted from your final payout.
When you submit a partial withdrawal, you will always receive the exact amount listed on the screen.
Is there a lock-in period?
No. You can withdraw your funds at any time.
