If you onboarded after the 19th September 2025, your settings will automatically default to electronic CHESS statements.
For customers who onboarded before this date, you're able to toggle this on in your settings. This setting can be turned on to receive both CHESS statements and registry statements.
CHESS Statements
When you trade on the ASX, you will receive a statement to advise you of the movement of the shares onto your Holder Identification Number (HIN).
These share certificates are referred to as CHESS Holding Statements.
You can now opt-in to receive Electronic CHESS Holding Statements
After enabling electronic statements, all future ASX CHESS statements will be emailed to the primary user's account.
Registry
The registry sends out company-based communications such as annual reports, dividend statements and shareholder communications such as share purchase plans.
By enabling this setting, the primary email address for the account will be electronically transmitted to all share registries you have holdings with. This is turn ensures that electronic communications is turned on with all communications being sent to the primary email address on the account.
Please note, if you have already setup electronic communications with a registry using a different email address, this change will overwrite that email address.

To finalise the process, once you have enabled this on our end, you will be emailed from the ASX to create your online account, and receive E-CHESS statements via email. An example of what that email looks like is below:

Please note: the email to activate your ASX account might be delayed until you do your next trade.
