FAQ’s for updating your Selfwealth-BGL data feed

What is Changing? 

The Selfwealth by Syfe data feed to BGL has been enhanced to provide a more complete view of your portfolio to BGL 

Current Data Feed 

Selfwealth currently integrates with BGL via: 

  • Cash Feeds (balances & Transactions) 
  • Contract notes (via email)

What’s new?   

The enhanced feed will include:  

  • Domestic & International trades 
  • Domestic & International cash 
  • Contract notes (including PDF copies) 
  • Investment balances


How can I activate the new data feed?   

There is no action required for existing clients with a current cash & contract notes service. You will automatically be transitioned to the enhanced data feed. 

Clients with a contract notes feed only will need to log into their Selfwealth account and follow these steps: 


Log in to your Selfwealth account - Login to Your Account - Selfwealth

  1. Click the profile icon (top-right corner) → Settings 

 

  1. Select the General tab 
  1. Scroll to ‘BGL Settings’ 
  1. Toggle it to ‘Enabled’ 

  1. Copy the token presented into the BGL 360 system. The will look something like this - 2tRYTOAQfqiNNpX4vT8pQ6

 

For users without an existing BGL account, it is recommended to initially set up a profile on the BGL platform and then turn on the feed from Selfwealth afterwards. This will enable the seamless flow of data from Selfwealth to BGL.

How often is data updated into BGL?  

Data from Selfwealth is automatically updated into BGL on the morning of every trading day and includes the previous day’s data. 

The new data feed will be sent to BGL on the 28th of November, with all the new information. 

Will Selfwealth load historical data into BGL?
Yes, 2 years of historical data will be provided to BGL automatically.
