To update your TFN, please follow the below steps:
- Log in to your trading account
- Navigate to settings (Top right of screen, accessed via your avatar)
- Go to Documents and Forms
- Download and complete the change of TFN or ABN form
- Email it to support@selfwealth.com.au
Common FAQs
If I update my TFN with Selfwealth, is there a need to update it individually with each share registry?
No, there is not. The benefit of providing your TFN to Selfwealth means that it's entered against your HIN, which sends an electronic message to each share registry that manage your investments. This ensures that your TFN is recorded against each of your holdings.
Do I have to print and sign the form with wet ink?
No, this is not required. For TFN updates, a digital signature is now accepted.
How long will it take to be processed?
Usually within 1 - 3 business days.
If I have provided my TFN, why do I still receive a TFN form from the share registry each time I purchase a new holding?
When you purchase shares for the first time, the share registry sends out a welcome pack. The welcome pack usually includes a dividend instruction form along with a TFN form. As stated above, there's no need to complete the TFN form, if you supplied your TFN directly to Selfwealth.
